WP1 Management

To coordinate and manage the different stages and quality of the project in an effective way.

WP2 Knowledge brokering activities

Work package 2  will review different knowledge brokering activities and methods that could be useful for FOODLINKS. WP2 will also conduct preparatory work for optimizing the design of the knowledge brokering activities (KBAs) in each of the thematic Communities of Practice (Work packages 3, 4 & 5).

WP3 Community of Practice: Short producer to consumer (P2C) food chains

Central to WP3 is to create a shared interpretation of what sustainable short P2C food chains mean and prioritize the most important aspects of sustainable short P2C food chains by considering the current political framing. WP3 will explore the existing research reservoir on P2C food chains in light of meeting the needs of the ones using the knowledge requested.

WP4 Community of Practice: Revaluing food procurement

Central to work package 4 is to create a shared interpretation of what sustainable public sector food procurement means and to prioritize the most important aspects of sustainable public sector food procurement by considering the current political framing. WP4 will explore the existing research reservoir on public sector food procurement in light of meeting the needs of the ones using the knowledge requested.

WP5 Community of Practice: Urban food strategies

Central to WP5 is to create a shared interpretation of what sustainable urban food strategies mean and to prioritize the most important aspects of sustainable urban food strategies by considering the current political framing. WP5 will explore the existing research reservoir on urban food strategies in light of meeting the needs of the ones using the knowledge requested.

WP6 In-built monitoring and evaluation of policy-research integration

This work package is dedicated to monitoring and evaluation of the performance and usefulness of the applied methods for knowledge brokering activities (KBAs). Special attention in this WP will be directed towards learning processes (mutual and collective social learning) taking place within the thematic CoPs, and the effectiveness of linking research and policy making through the conducted KBAs (e.g., impact assessment, integration of research outcomes into policy making and practice).

WP7 Integrative modalities of linking research and policymaking

In the scope of this WP we will integrate and synthesize lessons from Community of Practice (CoP) experiences, and monitoring and evaluation of the thematic knowledge brokering activities (KBAs) in order to propose effective modalities for linking research and policymaking in the field of sustainable food production and consumption (and beyond).

WP8 Dissemination

This WP will design, establish and manage the project dissemination website as well as establish new knowledge brokerage networks and make use of existing networks (virtual and traditional). WP8 is also in charge of the project's intranet and organising the final FOODLINK stakeholder conference.
